What is the difference between Counseling/Psychotherapy and Life Coaching?

Why seek Counseling?

*There are many reasons to seek counseling/psychotherapy. I have listed many here, but there are more.

Why seek Life Coaching?

*Like counseling/psychotherapy, there are many reasons to seek life coaching. Here are some of them.

What are my options with regard to spirituality in Counseling/Psychotherapy and/or Life Coaching?

Hannah Frazier Millsap MS, LAC is prepared to offer faith-based counseling when it is desired by the client. She may also refrain from using religious or spiritual language/themes in sessions with clients who have asked her to take a minimally spiritual approach. When a new client completes the Confidential Client Intake Form he/she will be asked a series of questions to determine what level of spiritually he/she would like to experience in subsequent therapy sessions. Clients may change their wishes at any time to less or more spiritual focus in sessions.

Will I be discriminated against?

It is not Hannah Frazier Millsap’s nor Reason 4 Being’s intention to discriminate against any person seeking counseling/psychotherapy or life coaching with us.  If you have a concern, feel that you have been discriminated against or feel that if you disclose something that you will be discriminated against, please voice your concerns to us so that we can put your mind at ease. As licensed counselors, however, we are mandated reporters and will be obligated to report any disclosures that fall into the categories of Suspected Abuse and/or Duty to Warn. See Duty to Warn in Reason 4 Being’s Counseling Policies and Procedures for more information.

What are the fees?

Fees are based on a sliding scale with a minimum fee of $35 per 50 minute session for counseling/psychotherapy and $25 per 50 minute session for life coaching. However, do not let fear of not being able to pay stop you from getting the support you need. Please let Hannah Frazier Millsap know if you need to discuss an individualized payment plan.

What payment methods are received?

Currently, Reason 4 Being accepts, debit/credit cards, money orders and cash. If you have insurance, please discuss with Hannah Frazier Millsap what your options are with regard to billing and copays.

What is confidentiality?

Confidentiality is the client’s right to keep private any information that is shared during the counseling/psychotherapy or life coaching process. There are some limits to confidentiality that are outlined in the policies and procedures.
